Leo who is from the US, was the baby of the group. Not to say any of us were young. Although he was a very successful store manager. We still had some things to teach him. Memorable is that we showed him that if you mix rum, coke, and lime juice it makes a very tasty potable. One afternoon after golf we were relaxing in the pools and consuming our favorite beverages. Leo had a successful afternoon of Cuba Libras and decided he needed a nap.

After the swim, we set about making supper, which was spaghetti, meatballs, salad and french bread. Came time to eat, and no Leo. We went upstairs to his bedroom and found him fast asleep. We couldn’t resist having a little fun, so we took the loaves of french bread and did dome very creative poses with him and took pictures, which we gave him the next morning.

Since in this group there are no prisoners taken, we all forgot about it. Not so with Leo. The next year he couldn’t make the trip, but stayed in touch asking about how it was going, and which courses we would be playing. We told him nothing. However, he apparently called my wife, and she gave him our schedule.

Friday morning, we should up for our tee times at the Ridgewood Lakes golf course. As we signed in and paid our greens fees, the starter gave each of us a loaf of french bread. After finding out our schedule he called the courses until he could get a cooperative starter. He got the starter to go out and purchase the loaves of bread and give them to us when we signed in.

Kudos Leo

    That’s determination and memory,
    Not revenge.
