My last post on the Instagram account I had 38,00 followers. Well, as of this morning i have 55,900 followers. However, I am still amazed as to the friendliness of the group. As pf today after more than a year of activity I have had three bad comments. The first said my scrambled eggs looked like shit. I couldn’t argue with that as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The second one I absolutely cannot remember. The third one was a comment after a Saturday Martha’s breakfast post. One gentleman posted that we now knew what Martha died from. This was about as bad as you can get in gallows humor. He realized what he had done and has apologized over and over.
Instagram accounts are not usually held by people my age. They tend to be on Face Book. I have avoided Face Book, and won’t go into the many reasons. My followers are young kids, teenagers, college students, young adults, adults, and middle-aged. There are some my age, and they are great too.
We share information and discuss issues hobbies and life stories. My responsibility is to keep them upbeat and striving to meet their goals and achieve their dreams. I can’t explain how much I personally get out of this. But it keeps me smiling.
On the weekend of my birthday, I spent five hours on Saturday and four hours on Sunday answering birthday wishes I received. It has to be one of the friendliest sites on the internet.
