Martha, my better half played in an Irish band, Casy’s Fancy for 36 years. I was one of her biggest supporters, actually their roadie. When Bill Graham passed. I was asked to help keep the band going. Piano lessons in grade school, played the trombone in high school, and closet ukulele player I joined in. Mike Raridon gave me an upright bass which I beat on for two years. I had a fascination for the banjo, so I bought one and became self-taught. Barb Whitset passed, and Martha quit, leaving Mike Wes and myself. Mike Schirger joined us, and we became the Casey Brothers. Mike Raridon passed and was replaced by Rick Kirk. We had a great run until Covid shut us down. Mike Scherger went into corporate law and Rick Kirk moved to Michigan. We have become lifelong friends, and it is a never to be forgotten experience for me.

Playing with Casey’s Fancy, and the short time we had as the Casey Brothers, gave me some of the best memories of my life.
I miss the Music, and everyone and everything associated with it.
