A little over a week ago we got our first real taste of winter. It started snowing Saturday night and continued into the early morning. Depending on where you were and where you measured, there was between nine inches and a foot of snow. I am not aware if the city was no quite ready or had different plans. The city streets were a mess for most of the morning.
However here in Wesley Willows, when I got up at 7:00A.M. the streets were all cleared, and the sidewalks and driveways were shoveled and salted. With the condition of the city streets, I went to Mass that morning on the TV. There was too much slipping and sliding going on out there.
Reflecting on the situation, I am reminded of how well we are taken care of here in the Willows. The maintenance of the facilities, and our quality of life is superb. I am constantly reminded that Martha did a great job researching where to spend our final years.
It is funny, that when I ask people looking at this place, the women are all in favor of it, and the men are skeptical. However, it doesn’t take long for the men to come around.
